franklylost - I was blindsided by Michael Alan Gill at a show in Austin, and immediately fell in love with his sound. He evokes a beautiful cynicism while tapping into incredibly relate-able human emotions, and uses an accurate and clever vocabulary to do it. I love the musical work of John K. Samson and John Darnielle and feel that Michael Alan Gill sits in the same company. This is just great songwriting and you should check it out. - I could only pick one 'favorite track' but I also love Miniblinds. Favorite track: Closed Casket.

about

I wrote this album when I was really sad. I felt like I was losing my marbles. A lot of the songs you'll hear are about that, but some are about other stuff.
